Job Description

  • Install GPS devices: Install GPS tracking devices in vehicles as required, ensuring proper functionality.
  • Conduct checkups and troubleshooting: Perform regular checkups and troubleshoot devices that are not generating data to ensure optimal performance.
  • Assist with root cause analysis: Support the tracking team in identifying and analyzing the root causes of technical issues related to GPS devices.
  • Report device tampering: Notify customers and supervisors immediately if any tampering with devices is detected.
  • Collect equipment from the office: Gather configured GPS devices, SIM cards, and necessary accessories from the office prior to installations.
  • Complete job cards: Fill out job cards with required details, obtain necessary signatures for installations and checkups, and submit them accordingly.
  • Inform relevant teams: Communicate new installations and checkup details to the control room and technical team to keep everyone updated.
  • Customer Service: Contacting clients and organizing trackers’ service and/or replacement for the bikes whose trackers are malfunctioning.
  • Analysis: Assist the Tracking team in the root cause analysis of reported issues, highlight any device tampering issues to Tracking supervisor, HOD & Tracking team.
  • Share installation updates: Provide installation information to tracking supervisors and unit heads for better coordination.
  • Reporting: Daily reporting of GPS installations & Device check/device replacements.
  • Confidentiality: Delivering the highest-level professional service to the Company clients while keeping tracker’s installation and service information strictly confidential.
  • Maintain toolkits and inventory: Keep toolkits organized and maintain accurate inventory records of all equipment and accessories.
  • Record Keeping: Maintaining proper information logs and submitting to assigned supervisor all with GPS tracking device installation connected information – vehicle’s chassis number, plate number, make, model, colour, trackers IMEI number, SIM card number, installation date and place. Other information may be requested at any time.
  • Provide accessory lists: Compile and submit accurate lists of accessories used during installations and checkups for record-keeping.
  • Train new staff: Train staff on installation procedures and best practices to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Demonstrate flexibility: Be adaptable with work hours and willing to assist with additional tasks as needed to support the team.
